Lothian Heat Community Interest Company is committed to protecting your personal data. This page explains what we collect when you visit this website or sign up to our mailing list, and what we do with it.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), registration number ZC151366. Under data protection legislation, we are a “controller” of the personal data you share with us. Mailing list

What we collect Email address, and name and organisation where you choose to provide them.
What we do with it We send occasional e-newsletters and updates about our work and relevant events. We will not use your details for any other purpose or share them with third parties.
Legal basis Consent: you have signed up to receive communications from us.
Where it is held Brevo, our email marketing platform. Their servers are based in Europe with appropriate GDPR safeguards. See Brevo’s Privacy Policy.
How long we keep it Until you unsubscribe. Every mailing includes an unsubscribe link.

Website visitors and cookies

Analytics We use Ionos web analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site. This records technical information such as the page you came from, how long you stay, and device type. No personal data is included in aggregate reporting.
reCAPTCHA Our mailing list sign-up form uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect against automated spam. This processes your IP address and may set strictly necessary cookies. It is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Legal basis Legitimate interests: to understand how our site is used and to protect our forms from misuse.
Marketing cookies We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies for marketing purposes.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, to restrict or object to how we process it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at info@lothianheat.org and we will respond within one month.
